Helping Hand gives you the chance to recommend a product that gives your client that little bit extra. No matter what covers you recommend, they can use Helping Hand for as long as they need – all at no extra cost.
Helping Hand gives them access to a personal nurse adviser from RED ARC, an independent care advisory service. The specialist nurse is on hand whenever your client needs them. They can explain their diagnosis, provide information, or just give your client a shoulder to cry on.
And there’s more. They can also suggest a programme of therapy or counselling to help your client’s recovery. And these sessions are all available at no extra cost.
We've included a short summary below of the elements available from the service. You can read about first-hand experiences of customers who have used Helping Hand by going to our customers' stories page.
If your client has a stroke, for example, the nurse adviser could arrange a series of physiotherapy sessions to help them return to health. Or if your client has cancer, Helping Hand would provide a trained cancer nurse for them to talk to who might then suggest complementary therapies such as massages or a herbalist to aid their recovery.
Sometimes having someone to talk to can help. So Helping Hand also offers bereavement counselling to plan owners’ families. We can also arrange counselling for the plan owner in the event of a claim for a terminal or critical illness.
If your clients have Income Cover for Sickness we can help them get back to work.
We work with HCML, one of the UK’s leading rehabilitation case management companies, who can provide the service of a personal rehabilitation case manager to help your clients manage their recovery and return to work as close as possible to their pre-injury levels of health and fitness.
