Following our 5th anniversary, we have recently published our first set of claims statistics

• 85% of life claims paid in the last 12 months
• 82% of critical illness claims paid in the last 12 months

Since launch Bright Grey has paid out £35m in total

• Over £20m in Life Cover
• Over £14m in Critical Illness Cover

The average size of critical illness claims paid since launch was £77,000. The largest critical illness claim we paid was £260,000 and the largest life insurance claim was £1.65m.

We also include Children’s Critical Illness Cover in our Critical Illness Cover plans and have paid out over £98,000 in Children’s Critical Illness Cover since we launched.

We’re pleased with what we’ve achieved in five years, but we’re not stopping here. We have invested a great deal in making sure our application form is clear and easy to complete, and our online signatured process continues to protect both you and your client from the impact of non-disclosure.

We’re still a relatively young company and we’re confident that our claims statistics will get even better as our business matures. We believe that by continually improving our application process we can work with you to reduce non-disclosure and increase the number of claims paid out.
